Australian Bush Comfort and Confidence (ABCC)

While many Victorian private schools currently have a program enabling senior students to experience and gain skills of living in a rural or natural environment, sadly, school camps in many public schools are being axed due to tighter budgets and insurance costs. Every Australian child should have the opportunity to experience the pleasures, challenges, wonders and health benefits of living out of the city. It is well recognized that these opportunities provide life skills and life moments often shaping the future pathway of participants.

Our school orientated ABCC offers tailored sessions for Years 4-6 and 7-12. Our junior program (Years 4- 6) provides half or full day programs aimed at building life skills including trust, leadership, empathy,  awe, imagination and an understanding of the relationship between health and wellbeing and nature. Our senior program (Years 7-12) provides half and full day programs aimed at building self-esteem and confidence, leadership, recognition of the importance of the natural environment for human survival  and skills for attaining health and wellbeing in natural environments.
